DJ Guy - Ghost Dick!

It’s been a little wait since the Going Crazy EP but I’m really pleased to announce that I’ve got a beautifully named new release out on Monday May 25th: Ghost Dick!

I’ve gone for a mix of styles with the booty tracks on this one – Ghost Dick is a spooky sounding track with electro beats, Shuttle Bus is a pacey chordy bleepy thing that works really well with vocally tracks, and I.O.U. Jit is one which I’ve been meaning to release for a while. It’s inspired by the Freeez – IOU sampling I.O.U. Juke by Gant-Man which I first heard on a footwork video on YouTube. I had no idea who had produced it but the use of the IOU bassline was so good that I decided to recreate it myself with a Detroit slant to it instead. The release is rounded off with Big Dick DJ Tools – over 1 minute of vocals themed around being well endowed.

My remix is a pretty stripped-down booty track and I did it in a generally Assault-ish style with snappy drums and some high-falutin strings on it. The digital is on sale now and the CD is in the shops from April 13th, 2009.
